Your Skincare Resolution for 2022

Lady with face cleanser to illustrate skin resolution for 2022
January 30, 2022

We all start the year off with resolutions. Usually, they have to do with losing weight, learning a new skill, or increasing income, but have you considered making a skincare resolution?

Your skin is one of your most undervalued assets. It regulates body temperature, protects you from outside threats, and holds all of your other organs, tissues, muscles, etc., together. Without your skin, where would you be?

And yet, have you ever thought about how you treat your skin? Or why skincare routine is important?

If you’re dealing with aging skin or skin concerns, then deciding on a skincare resolution will possibly make perfect sense to you. But many people I treat have never even thought about their skin until faced with a problem like skin cancer or hyperpigmentation.

For that reason – to keep your health at its very best – if you’re someone who hasn’t thought too much about how you can support your skin, I urge you to start!

However, there are so many products, systems, and regimens available that practical skincare can seem overwhelming. So let’s keep your skincare resolution simple. You want to set yourself up for success, right?

2022 Skincare Resolution

First off, the simplest, most effective thing you can do is get into a regular routine. Why is a skincare routine important? It keeps your skin in good condition and therefore can slow down the signs of aging and save you both money and worry in the long run.

A skincare routine can start with three simple steps:

  • Cleanse
  • Exfoliate
  • Tone

Now you’re probably asking yourself, “What skincare products do I need”? I’m glad you asked!

Today I want to share my three favorite ZO products for cleansing, exfoliating, and toning! They’re all part of ZO’s Getting Skin Ready® protocol – which is the perfect way to get started on your skincare resolution without feeling overwhelmed.

ZO’s Getting Skin Ready® protocol is a system of products that work together to improve skin function and overall skin health. Whether you’re concerned with aging skin, dull skin, acne, or just keeping your skin healthy and happy, this is where to start.

ZO skincare products to illustrate skincare resolution

Cleanse: ZO’s Hydrating Cleanser

ZO’s Hydrating Cleanser keeps your skin clean and rejuvenated. Use it twice daily – in the morning and before bed. The best cleanser for your skin will depend on your skin type and the time of year. For example, skincare in winter usually requires a soothing, mild cleanser like ZO’s Hydrating Cleanser, which won’t strip already stressed skin.

Exfoliate: ZO’s Exfoliation Polish

Exfoliation gets rid of pore-clogging dead skin cells, giving you a more even-toned complexion. Gently buffing your skin with Exfoliation Polish 2-3 times per week clears dead skin cells and debris to provide you with skin that looks and feels fresher.

Tone: ZO’s Calming Toner

Toners effectively balance the pH level of your skin, which promotes a more vibrant and smoother complexion. It also calms the skin and controls excess surface oil. Calming Toner is an excellent option for skincare beginners or people with dry skin to help balance the skin and prepare it for your other skincare topicals.
